Introduction: Hi! Thanks for your interest in music instruction by Collin Madden. I have been a full time musician for more than 20 years. I have taught hundreds of students in the Mt. Pleasant area since the early 2000s. My most dedicated students have gone on to work in all facets of music from performing with national acts, writing, recording, appearing on television to performing with local working bands, attending respected music schools ect. My more casual students enjoy the fun of being able to achieve real competency on the instrument and truly enjoy the experience of making music.
I love every aspect of teaching, all levels, all ages.

As a colleague, I I have observed many of Collin's lessons, and I find him to be one of the most encouraging and engaging teachers I have known. He advocates for his students and and provides ample performance opportunities. His content knowledge is superb, meaning that he can be trusted to teach technique and theory correctly. Great teacher, and great person.

Collin taught three of my five children to play the guitar. Each was at a different level of ability and he worked very well with all three. He's such a positive influence with kids. He's knowledgeable, patient, professional and all around an excellent music teacher. I wish we were still living in the low country so they could continue to take lessons with Collin.
