FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are always extremely simple, depending on severity of the project they can vary, but typically most projects(excluding pricing for parts) is less than $100.I also make it very known to my customers that I DO NOT charge by the hour. I do this because 1) I understand I have not been in the IT field for an extremely long time, although I am very knowledgeable I am earning my pay with experience, and thats more valuable to me than money currently. 2) I genuinely enjoy helping people through their issues. Though this sounds cliche, I really do find joy in fixing computers and making people happy to have their "old system" back.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to introduce myself. I am a very approachable and outgoing person, sometimes to a fault. But I very much enjoy meeting people and especially helping people solve their technological issues. So maybe a nice conversation before getting into the gory details of the cpu, unless of course that person is in a rush or would like it to be strictly business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied computer science at Volunteer State Community College for a year and a half ( I'm about to get my associates) And will be attending Tennessee Tech next fall to get my bachelors in Software Engineering. I am currently in the process of getting my Comptia A+ Certification.
