- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jarrett began computing and tinkering with electronics around 10 years of age. He cut his "computing teeth" on a Commodore 64, and began using the internet when it was only available to universities and was dial-up. Technology has advanced exponentially since Jarrett was still in middle school, in awe of his access to the world wide web and how "awesome" it was. Being the Techie Geek that he is, he's worked hard and diligently to stay abreast of each new advancement, and is certified and degreed in a multitude of Microsoft Verifications, making him one of the most sought after website designers in Middle Tennessee. Simply Jarrett believes there is no job too small and appreciates and welcomes those small jobs of helping others set up their new computer or smartphone, as much as the bigger jobs!

After learning of the.enormous number of sexual assaults and rapes that occur each year at drinking establishments, music venues, night clubs, etc., in the Greater Nashville area, he felt it was his responsibility to do what he can to reduce these horrific assaults and their emotional destruction in our community. After a lot of research, conversations with law enforcement and meetings with club owners..Jarrett launched the non-profit organization, N.A.S.A. - Nashville Against Sexual Assault. NASA's mission statement and purpose is to ultimately prevent ALL ASSAULTS where alcohol is served in and around Nashville, by implementing a multi pronged program that includes the following: - Creating "safe bars", by educating bouncers, bartenders, wait staff, security, and owners on how to read body language and scenarios, that should be closely monitored. - Utilizing some inexpensive, but highly effective measures and tools to greatly reduce the "blind spots", "predator advantages", and staff placements within the venue. - Retrain bouncers and security, on how to address and interact with a victim, when an assault is reported. So frequently,, police officers and Bar security are only taught how to react and interact with victims as "fact finders"...the "who. what, when, & where", with no instruction or education on empathy, healthy ways to interact and be properly supportive as the First Responders for the assault victim. To be more human, showing their empathy and reducing unnecessary stress, anxiety, and further trauma during the minutes and hours after one of their patrons was horribly injured by sexual assault. - And MANY other tools, programs, and educational conferences for bar owners, club staff, and venue employees. This program has been widely, well received and welcomed in and around Nashville. It's with great fright
