Introduction: I aim to provide quality and safe instruction for all levels of experience and all body types. No previous practice is necessary and there is no need to "get in shape" before one attempts the practice. I am a fully certified yoga instructor, 500hr accredited. I have practiced with teachers from all over the world including completing my teacher training in India.
I love seeing my students progress and meet their goals. It is especially rewarding to introduce the higher concepts of yoga practice - breath control sense withdrawal, contemplation, concentration, and meditation- that unlock the true spiritual gains of the practice and lead to liberation from suffering in the human condition. It is a beautiful journey that I love to share!

I have been practicing yoga for thirteen years and I have worked with a myriad of instructors from different backgrounds and ethnicities, each bringing their own unique colors to the practice. I can confidently say that Heather with Gaia Yoga is one of the most fair and honest instructors I have found. My daughter, a beginner, also attended a couple of classes and found Heather to be very conscientious and forgiving, which is important to her as her practice involves a great deal of attention and patience. It is fairly uncommon to find an instructor who shows both an impressive understanding of the physical practice and a true desire to connect and influence each student on a spiritual level. I am happy to recommend Gaia Yoga Healing Arts to anyone, from beginner to true yogi. There is always room to learn and Heather's perspective is fresh and energized.
