Introduction: My name is Tim Grady and I am an established NYC-based videographer, filming corporate and private events, weddings, red carpet interviews, Broadway openings and more across the NYC area. Some of my clients include Ernst & Young, The Tony Awards, PRA NY, The NY Bar Association, Clear Channel Spectacolor and many more. I have filmed and directed stars from Tom Hanks to Gloria Estefan with videos premiering from Radio City Music Hall to the billboards of Times Square. I pride myself on capturing the culture of your company or event. For weddings, I am the only videographer in the country to provide the "Lip Sync-along" music wedding video that you and your guests will cherish forever. I started in front of the camera as an actor/dancer and then took my knowledge behind the camera to showcase subjects in the best light. My videos are custom made to make sure each client receives the individual and unique attention that they deserve. My films are my passion projects. My husband and I booked Tim as our wedding videographer about two weeks before our wedding due to other arrangements falling through. It ended up being a blessing because Tim was so excellent to work with! Right from the beginning he was quick responding to emails and scheduled a phone call to discuss details about our wedding. We instantly knew we would be in good hands. On our wedding day itself, he was prompt, friendly and incredibly professional! That's not even to mention the quality of the video the provided to us afterward. We had all the edited videos and raw footage 6 weeks after the wedding and we happily lived through all the moments and it brought tears to our eyes. I would HIGHLY recommend Tim to family, friends or strangers! Hiring Tim was an incredibly fortunate finding and we couldn't thank him enough.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a dancer in the Broadway community, performing in NYC and across the country on tour. At the time, I always did videography for fun, passion projects. While working as a dancer in a show in Florida, my friend and I made a video with my cast that happened to go viral within our industry. From that one video, we ended up creating commercial break entertainment content for the Tony Awards. From there, videography took off. I went on to create the standard format for musical theater audition reels in the Broadway world and became the red carpet correspondent for Backstage Magazine and Actors' Equity Foundation. I decided to go behind the camera full time and expand my work to the corporate and event world of NYC, which is what I have been doing full time for the past 5 years.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are many options when choosing a videographer. My best advice is to make sure that the person you hire is someone you connect with so that you are creatively in line with each other as the project progresses.
