Jac Grady Vocal Studio
About this pro
Jac has a great way of getting technique across, in a fun, diplomatic manner! Also, her wealth of knowledge in repertoire options and vocal science is very helpful!Aug 15, 2018

Jac is an excellent teacher, she's not only studied music but the science and anatomy and physiology of the voice. She works hard to support her students and continues to have good relationships with them, sometimes even years after they have ceased study. You would have a hard time finding a teacher who cares more about her students success and well being than Jac does.Jun 22, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? An hour is $65. With most private teachers in New York charging between $90-$200 per lesson, I thought long and hard about my rates. I decided for me, it is extremely important to be affordable and accessible. I care about your development as an artist and I understand what it is to have the urgent desire to improve but not necessarily the disposable income. I offer a discount lesson for Thumbtack clients only, you come to me and we’ll see if we’re a good fit!!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We will meet, I will do a vocal assessment, we will talk about your plans, hopes and goals and what you hope to achieve through the process of working with a voice teacher. We will also map out a plan of how to get there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Fifteen years experience as a performer (theatre, opera, recording artist) and ten years as a teacher privately and in classrooms. Undergraduate degree in Musical Theatre, Somatic Voiceworks Certification, William Esper Professional Two Year Training Program.
