My fiancé and I were looking to hire a dance instructor to help us put together a cool, hip-hop type of first dance for our wedding. We seriously could NOT have found someone better than Alex. Hands down. Not only is Alex an incredible dancer himself, but he has an ability to put you at ease and make the experience of learning a new dance incredible fun. My fiancé and I definitely had different ideas of how we wanted the dance to look (I wanted the dance to have hip-hop moves, and he wanted more of a laid back look). Alex had a way of putting EXACTLY what both of us wanted together, so that we were both extremely satisfied with the look of it! Also, neither of us are INCREDIBLE dancers (we try =)) but Alex has such amazing patience with us. He teaches moves that look professional and makes difficult moves easy to master. He also listens to what we want and always offers tips and advice, but makes certain to have the look of the dance fit what we are looking for. (We can sometimes be sticklers, but Alex has no problem rolling with it). And maybe most importantly, Alex is SUCH a people person. He's easy to talk to, work with, and communicate with--which is always important. He's completely on the ball and really goes above and beyond with making sure we feel good and comfortable with the lessons and with the way the dance looks. I could truly go on and on. I've taken dance classes and performed before, and worked with at least 7 different instructors, and I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to help us choreograph our wedding dance. I honestly feel so lucky we found him. If you're looking to have a fun time learning an awesome dance and work with an instructor who can completely pick up on your needs and craft and customize things according to what works for you--Alex is your guy! If you're thinking about hiring Alex...don't hesitate, absolutely do it. You will NOT be disappointed. He's truly the best. THANK YOU ALEX!!!!!!!!!!

I feel so blessed to have had Alex (aka Sasha) as my dance teacher for two years. Alex is a world-class dancer and would literally move me to tears when I'd watch him and his partner dance together. Aside from his dance skills, what made Alex the best teacher is how much he loves dance. I've never met anyone so passionate about the work that they do and his passion made me fall in love with dance as well. He is patient and direct. He doesn't sugar coat his feedback so you'll always know what you need to work on to get better. He is so supportive and would cheer me and my partner on at every competition he could make it to. I really struggled with Jive so he surprised me at a competition one day with a stuffed bunny that dances to jive music. It was one of the sweetest gestures anyone has ever shown me. I would recommend Alex to anyone looking to improve their dance skills. I only danced in college but I watched him teach others on my team and help them get from Newcomer level to winning ribbons at Gold and Open levels in just a years time! Alex and his dance partner have become lifelong friends and I'll always be grateful for their wisdom, kindness, patience and support. Do yourself a favor and choose him as your teacher. You won't regret it!

I have been taking private lessons with Alex (Sasha) for more than 3 years now. He is extremely dedicated not only to dance but also to his students. He always takes the time to explain every step and movement, and he even has multiple ways to explain the same moves. Alex takes pride in the dancing of his students and is always sure to help them do their absolute best. He gives clear feedback and ensures that his students repeat moves until they absolutely understand them. His patience really shows during these times, as I've spent multiple lessons in a row working on only one or two moves with him, but he was always there to help until the moves finally clicked. As much as he is professional, Alex is also extremely kind and caring and has even shown up to competitions to cheer my partner and me on! I am so thankful to have met him because, without him, my dance skills would be nowhere near where they are today. Alex has helped keep my motivation to work hard and do well strong and our lessons are one of the best parts of my week! I highly recommend him as an instructor, you won't be sorry!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our Introductory lesson is only $49 which is a $75 value. Come experience us for yourself and see why we are the best choice in Ballroom and all partner dance instruction!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Since everyone learns differently, and are at their own individual point of ability, we like to start off with a private introductory lesson. This way the pro can experience how you learn and then recommend a direction that suits your goals and scheduling needs. Our teachers have vast experience teaching all partner dancing styles. They really listen to the students and have tons of experience to get you to your goals the best way possible!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our organization is headed up by 4 leaders with over 100 years of collective industry experience and passion for excellence in dance instruction. Our teachers are hand selected to ensure we deliver the best instruction for our students no matter what your goals are. From weddings to the club and social dance floors, or even to the Ballroom competitive floor, our teachers are true professionals that really listen and care what your goals are and can deliver great results!
