FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very flexible with time, and I am willing to offer discounts for lessons purchased in a bundle. Please don't hesitate to ask about options with pricing!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Finding the strengths and weaknesses of each new student is really important for me. I need to know what the students WANTS to study, but also what the student NEEDS to study. If the student has ongoing issues that need to be resolved, finding these early on imperative. I also want to create a lesson plan that is going to encourage the student, that makes them excited to be at their lessons and to practice. This means that I must be focused on their learning goal and aspirations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing bass for ten years, starting off in various rock bands around Dublin, Ireland. I eventually went on to study in Newpark Music Centre, the most prestigious Jazz school in the country. During this time, I played in many function bands, as well as my own original projects. After two years in Newpark, I was offered a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston. I received my degree in Bass Performance in August 2017. While in Berklee I performed in many different bands, playing rock, pop, jazz, metal, funk and even Indian Carnatic Fusion! This gave my an insight into wide variety of music, as well as being really enjoyable.
