FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We work with several different insurance companies and honor their coverage for mental health services. If you are not able to use insurance, we will discuss a self pay rate. We use a sliding scale based on your income and ability to pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally we will have a phone conversation to discuss your needs and ensure that our practice is a good fit for you and for you to ask any questions you have for us. I will then assign you to a counselor that best serves your needs and availability.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience working with many people. I started my career as domestic violence counselor, and while working I earned my Masters Degree in Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. During my career, I have learned from mentors and supervisors about multicultural counseling and this has been a passion of mine. My main goal is to ensure that people who need counseling who would not otherwise go due to fear of being judged feel comfortable, welcomed and respected.
