FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to be fair. I don't have a truck and trailer to worry about maintaining. I don't have any employees. I charge for products used, labor, equipment use, and thumbtack fees. weeding is my cheapest service and also has a small thumbtack fee. more skilled tasks like trimming trees is going to cost more because of the skill needed, equipment used, risk, and higher thumbtack fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
determine tools or equipment needed for job. I mostly pass on jobs that lack details. I don't travel more than 30 mins. If you're outside that window I won't take the job. creating a bid sometimes needs measurements. if you need a shrub trimmed it's useful to give distance estimate so I can give a price estimate. I need contact info to create a invoice. name, address, phone and email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned to be a horticulture technician at CCF in Ocala. A commercial landscaper taught me landscaping while I worked in her crew. Computers I started on in the nineties but it's a hobby not a profession. mounting stuff on walls started when the first kid pulled down the first curtain rod 😡. fixing ceiling fans and outlets also because of my crotch goblins.
