FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $25 per 30 minute lesson or $50 per hour.** **I will teach bi-weekly lessons to students who travel on a case-by-case basis!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, and have spent years studying classical, musical theatre, and contemporary genres of music as well as pedagogical techniques in singing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging in age from 10 years old to 20 years old. In children's lessons, I focus on teaching them a basic understanding of music fundamentals and healthy singing technique while also allowing the student to sing repertoire that interests him or her. For middle school or high school age students, my goal is to understand their reasoning for wanting voice lessons before we begin (for example: is the student preparing for an audition, choral concert, or musical performance, is the student planning on pursuing music in college, or is the student's interest in music a hobby?) For more advanced students (young adults or college students), I not only work on extending vocal abilities, but also audition etiquette, building repertoire, music fundamentals (if needed), setting attainable goals, and challenging the student to push boundaries.
