Aya’s Piano Lessons

Introduction: Do you have a child or teenager interested in music or learning to play an instrument? Have YOU ever wanted to learn to play the piano? Have you ever felt like you were too old to start, or that your learning window has passed? The piano is a wonderful instrument for students of all ages that can be easily picked up with commitment, discipline and effort. Modern medicine has shown that learning an instrument at any age can prevent cognitive deterioration and help improve sharpness and memory in other areas of your life! A little about me: My name is Aya, I'm 21 years old and I studied music and piano performance for 6 and a half years. I have completed and passed multiple examinations from the Associated Board of the Royals Schools of Music in the United Kingdom, and music continues to be an important and fun part of my life! I would love to spread the gift of music and the joy that comes with it :) I grew up with a big family so I am great with kids and adults alike! I'm a huge believer that it is never too late to learn a new instrument or to improve upon what you already know. A little about my lessons: All lessons will go at the pace of each individual student since everyone learns at their own pace. Each lesson will be personalized towards the needs and wants of the students. The student and I will set realistic goals of where they want to be by the end of each month, and we will focus on achieving them! My teaching method incorporates music theory so that students will have the skills needed to read musical notation independently. In regards to pricing, many private piano tutors in the Omaha area are charging between $35-38+ per 30 minute interval, whereas these classes are only $30 per 30 minute interval. **IMPORTANT**: Students will be given "homework" that will be assigned between classes and are expected to make a time commitment during the course of the following week to improve upon what was covered during class time. This is to ensure that the student is doing what is needed of them in order to see improvements :) Class slots are available in 30 minute intervals from 10am to 5pm Friday - Sunday and will need to be booked at least 3 days in advance; classes are $30 for a 30 minute session in cash only; classes will be at the residence of the student*. *Residence can be anywhere as long as it is in Omaha or relatively close, otherwise gas fees may apply.
