- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a classical violinist from Salt Lake City, UT where I began violin studies at the age of four. My natural musical talent enabled me to study with some of the finest teachers in the valley, as well as having the rare opportunity of being accepted to and attending Interlochen Arts Academy, one of the elite fine arts high schools in the country. I have also received multiple scholarships throughout my high school and university education. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University in 2017 with bachelor degrees in violin performance and commercial music. While at UVU I studied violin performance with Dr. Donna Fairbanks. While there I was also a member of Utah Valley University’s Honors Quartet. We were frequently sought after to provide music for many VIP and exclusive UVU functions. I also studied with Rebecca McFaul (Fry Street Quartet and faculty at Utah State University) for 3 years at Utah State University. Additional teachers of mine also include Leonard Brause, Paul Sommers, Julia Bushkova, Jack Ashton, and Debbie Moench. I have also held many key seats in orchestras including Concertmistress, Assistant Concertmaster, and Principal Second. I have played in many of the best youth orchestras including the World Youth Symphony Orchestra where she had the opportunity to play with world renowned artists such as Andres Watts. In 2015 I was invited to perform in the string section for Christian Howes’s concert at the national ASTA convention.Currently I am the first violinist for the Diamond Strings Wedding Quartet. I have also received Every Child Can and Suzuki teacher training through the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute as well as the Greater Austin Suzuki Institute.
