$20.00 for half hour lesson, once a week. $40.00 for an hour lesson, once a week.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education as well as 12 years of formal piano training, 12 years of formal vocal training, and 7 years of violin training.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Maria Yerdon is originally from Boulder City, Nevada and began her musical career at a young age with the piano. It was through this instrument that she learned the fundamentals and theory of music. This experience provoked her to broaden her skills by adding both violin and vocal training to her repertoire. Her love and passion for music has given her the opportunity to travel and perform all over the United States such as Washington D.C, Hawaii, and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She was also previously a 1st Soprano member of the May Festival Chorus and Chamber Choir, which perform great master works with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in Cincinnati, Ohio. Maria has been playing the piano for twenty-three years, has had twelve years of vocal training, ten years of choral training, and six years of violin training. She went to the University of Nebraska, Omaha with the pursuit of a Vocal-Music Education Degree and finished her degree at Northern Kentucky University and received her Bachelor in Music Education. Maria first began teaching in high school as her local children's choir director in Boulder City, Nevada. In 2006, she began teaching private lessons in Omaha, Nebraska for piano, voice, and violin. As well as teaching in Nebraska, Maria has also private taught in Kentucky and most currently Florida. It is her personal goal for all her students enjoy learning about music. She wants them to have knowledge in music fundamentals and theory so that they can understand and enjoy the music around them always.
