Introduction: Together Events is a feminist event planning company, offering full service planning, partial serving planning, and month-of coordination. My work is focused on fostering intimate moments of connection by creating inclusive, welcoming spaces with incredible details. My vision is social-justice-oriented, as I help clients use socially equitable and environmentally sustainable practices in their event preparation. I also partner with local people-of-color-owned businesses as often as possible.
I’m very detail-oriented, and I bring a unique creative vision to the event industry, particularly in my consideration of culturally relevant practices and design. I love to communicate clearly and consistently with clients and vendors, making sure that every detail of the event flows seamlessly. My main focus is on people, not things - I’m not interested in pushing products or services onto my clients, but rather, I love to create events that reflect the values and vision of my clients.
We work with our clients to create safe spaces for vulnerability and connection by making your guests feel welcomed and comfortable in a carefully curated space.
When push comes to shove, gatherings are about coming together and enjoying time and space with the people whom we love. We want your gathering to be a reflection of your values, not those of whatever might be the latest Pinterest trend.
We love and celebrate individuals and couples of all shapes and sizes. Our clients represent a tapestry of cultural and religious backgrounds, genders, races, abilities, sexualities, and so many other intersections of identity.
We seek to support minority-owned businesses whenever possible.
We resist the “shoulds” of wedding and event planning. We encourage our clients to veer from tradition and to spend time and money only on those aspects of their event which are important to them.
We are currently launching a program to donate 5% of our profits to a local community organization (more details to come!).
Our main goal is to help your wedding or event reflect you. Story-telling and gathering are powerful forces for breaking down oppression. We want to create safe spaces for healthy connection, conversation, and self-expression.
