- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will send the customer a link where they are able to fill out an extensive health/environment history. After this is complete, I will review prior to the initial consult. The initial consult will be 90-120 minutes. This document will be reviewed with the client for any clarification. Nutrition/health assessment will be discussed with the client. Dietary, supplement, lifestyle recommendations will then be given to the client. Follow-up appointments are recommended every two to four weeks, or more often if client requests.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2014 from National University of Health Sciences, one of the seven accredited schools in the United States. I have had considerable training in nutrition, holistic primary care, internal medicine, and functional medicine. I am also currently completing a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Functional Medicine at the University of Western States, affiliated with the Institute for Functional Medicine. While I am trained as a physician, my consulting practice is going to remain a health coaching practice in order to provide a cost-friendly option for those who do not have access to functional medicine physicians or a budget that allows them this kind of care. There is a slight difference in the way this works. This is not a program that establishes a patient-physician relationship, nor it is intended to practice medicine. Clients are required to have a primary care physician on record. Rather, you get the advantage of hiring a physician trained coach without the significant cost attached to it. It is my desire to provide this service for those normally cannot afford access.
