FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic hourly rate is $55 per hour. Certain jobs may have a flat fee to make sure the project does not become cost prohibitive. For example basic plumbing fixture installation (toilet, sink faucet, garbage disposal) I charge a flat fee of $110. A basic maitenance visit is $125 and involves checking and repairs on a variety of items such as air filters, light bulbs, appliance filters, appliance hoses, door and window chaulking and more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before beginning any project I like to have a conversation with the client to go over the specifics of the project. It is important that I get as much detail upfront as I can to make sure understand all the needs and properly assess the work to be done. If there is any work that is outside the scope of my expertise or capacity I want to inform the client right away and make proper recommendations. Once I understand the desired result then I can make a proper estimate. Once the client and I agree to the pricing and time frame then I will collect any upfront cost for materials ,if applicable, and begin the project. At the completion of the project I will review with the client to make sure all expectations have been met or exceeded and billing for the remainder of the invoice will be presented along with any reciepts for material costs. Payment is do upon completion of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my training comes from working as an apprentice on several jobs with contractors and professionals. I have a natural gift for problem solving which has helped come up with creative solutions on difficult jobs.
