FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1. $0 - $25 for a diagnosis* 2. $37.50/per half hour 3. $75.00/per hour 4. Flat fee of $100 for a virus / malware cleanup** If a $25.00 diagnosis fee is charged, it is applied to the total. For example: if the diagnosis is some generic software corruption that would be a $25.00 charge - if it then takes 1 hour to resolve the issue, it would be an additional $50.00. *Sometimes it is not clear whether or not a solution can be provided. Additionally, it may not be feasible to continue work beyond a diagnosis - for example: hardware failure is evident and the recommendation is to seek a local technician (i.e. the customer may be multiple states away.) ** Depending on the nature of the virus or malware, it may be restricted to local customers only. They often extend beyond 1 hour of service, however, they often do not require constant supervision as scans need to be run on the hard drive which can be very time consuming.
