FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually base my pricing off of the headcount and materials needed. There is really no standard pricing, as no party is exactly the same.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Setting up a meeting is usually the very first thing that happens. Even before they want to hire me or not I don't do anything until we can meet. (or skype/FaceTime) I usually keep things pretty casual. Its a party, so I want us to get to know each other and establish a good relationship. In our first meeting we will discuss details and get together a more formal agreement. Once we've both settled on said agreement, we finalize it and sign a contract.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've come from a family that works in hospitality. I started working as a helping hand at a small wedding venue in high school. So parties in general have always been part of my life. From a young age I always was the one to plan parties. I even threw myself a "fabulous fourteen" birthday party, starting with a limo ride with all my friends and ended at a venue for a dance party. I've really started as a hobby. Mostly for friends or through word of mouth from others that have attend events that I've put on. Also I am very crafty. I like to challenge myself in making anything from scratch and also creating something completely unique and one of a kind. I've had a hand in a little bit of everything. Baby showers, birthday parties, prom parties, weddings, and funerals.
