FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Individual sessions are $65 per session (I don't charge extra for additional people or children who want to be involved). Many of my clients buy a monthly package which is one session per week and it comes out to $60 per session. A popular package is also the 10-pack which you can use any time before the end of the year. Most people who want to practice 1-2 times per month opt for this package and it ends up being $55 per session. Finally a 20-pack is great for those of you that want to stick with your practice and make it a lifestyle. These people tend to go 2 or more times a week, or intend to keep up with their practice weekly over the course of months. This ends up only being $50 per session. All packages are paid in full before we start the sessions and don't expire until the end of the year.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will usually talk over the phone or via email to make sure we are a good fit for each other. I will likely take notes on your fitness/stress-reduction goals. There is a release and waiver form for new clients to fill out. If you are a prenatal student, we want to first clear it with your doctor that you can workout. We will discuss a schedule (how many days a week to meet, where to meet, convenient times for you, etc.) and a payment plan. At the first session, we will take it slow- I will cue you into poses and connect your breath to your movement, as well as provide hands on assists and adjusts (if you feel comfortable with that). We will adjust the practice as needed. I will check in with you to be sure you are getting the yoga practice that's right for you in that moment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My initial 200 hour yoga training was done through Core Power Yoga in Chicago, IL. I then continued with an extension training program through Core Power Yoga for an additional few months after I received my certificate where I taught community classes and continued my education. I then participated in a third training pre/postnatal yoga through the prenatal yoga trainer Rhonda Kantor (Global Yoga and Wellness) in Evanston, IL. I taught power yoga, restorative yoga, and prenatal yoga at Lagom RX Studio in the West Loop in Chicago. I spent most of my time teaching private lessons to people who want to start incorporating yoga into their life, people working with an injury, those looking for calming/stress relief, and people looking for a workout without the hustle and bustle of a gym or studio. Unfortunately, most of my clients came from word of mouth so I don't have many reviews on Thumbtack because they were not all from Thumbtack. I just moved to the Royal Oak area from Chicago and I am trying to start up my business again! I would love to hear from you-please join me for a yoga session :)
