Guitar Lessons by Kevin Messing

Introduction: I teach guitar in a practical approach that emphasizes performing songs of the student's choice proficiently. For beginners, chords and rhythmic guitar is our initial focus to build the foundation for excellent playing - regardless of style. I also teach music theory and how it's applied to the songs my students are learning so they can develop a holistic understanding of music which helps them progress with learning their instrument and writing songs. Exercises, scale patterns, and chord charts are also used. I've been playing for 13 years and I have a natural passion for teaching. I like the see my students meet their personal goals, break through plateaus, and become better musicians.
