FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a client to have fun working on a vision board/Pinterest board that has images/words that express their ideal lifestyle. This becomes the springboard for what the tidying will open space for. We discuss these goals- which can be as simple as “I want to have a cozy space to drink tea by my balcony every morning” and work on ways to reach this goal by clearing out space and prioritizing activities that bring the client joy. Then, we get to work! We typically start with clothing and move on from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a law student which I believe has overlap related to order and organization! Throughout college, I worked in customer service which is a great training ground for listening to others and problem-solving.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a born organizer (starting with Barbie shoes and our family’s kitchen pantry, alphabetizing the soup cans!) but struggled as time passed and my collections of myriad items: clothing, jewelry, china, collectibles grew. I would make repeated efforts to get the clutter under control but before long it would return. Clutter threatened to overtake me until I discovered the Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up! I read the book, implemented the method, and I can attest my life and outlook dramatically changed. It became my goal to share this magic with clients when I became a certified KonMari Consultant.
