FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work in a cash-only office, meaning that I am no longer in-network with any insurance companies. It has been my experience that the majority of insurance companies do not always have the best interests of their customers in mind and it was a constant fight for me getting services covered for my patients. This resulted in constant frustration and a lot of wasted time for my patients and myself. Now, I am free to treat patients however I believe will be the most helpful without battling for my patients’ right to get well and stay well. This also offers me the ability to spend more quality time with my patients to dig deeper into their symptoms so that their treatment can be more effective. This results in happier, healthier patients!! Although I do not accept any insurances, my office can provide you with a superbill after your appointment so that you may submit your claim to your health insurance for potential reimbursement. My office also accepts payments from FSA (Flex Spending Accounts) and HSA (Health Savings Accounts).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I get a thorough history of the major complaint(s) and ask a lot of questions that help me determine which course of treatment would benefit the patient the most. If the patient’s major complaint is concerning joint pain, I will also perform orthopedic and neurologic tests that are specific to the painful region in order to determine what other treatments could help the most. I may also suggest supplements, essential oils, herbs, or homeopathic remedies for my patients if I believe they will be helpful in allowing a patient to heal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I enrolled in an accelerated 5 year program in order to be trained as a chiropractic physician. During my coursework to earn my chiropractic doctorate, I also completed an accelerated program to fast-track me into the acupuncture realm. I successfully completed 6 separate national board exams during my training that allowed me to attain my chiropractic license and acupuncture certification in the state of Missouri.
