- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A standard pricing model and spread sheet are used to make sure all the details are thoroughly covered. Material and subcontractors prices are always variable and verified according to the unique specifications of each individual project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The building of a pool or water feature starts with the sales and design process where the project is defined in terms of expectations for: Client use Integration of existing or proposed architecture with site characteristics Feature geometry and style Material and color selections Technology and automation A plot plan is received from the client and grades are shot to provide base information for the plan. A detailed plan and cost proposal is then prepared for presentation to the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Economics from the University of Missouri, Columbia which adds value and discipline to the business side of the operation. I studied Architectural Technology, Construction Management and Art at Washington University. This informs my work with a unique combination of technical, administrative and artistic skills. I also hold certificates in Project Administration, Estimating and Job Costing through the Associated General Contractors of America, Project Manager Development Program. Urban Oasis, Inc. is built upon my unique creative experience and technical capabilities. The past sixteen years have been devoted exclusively to the design and construction of pools and water features. My blend of technical design and field construction experience with artistic skill as a sculptor, provides the ability to work with water as a sculptural element at a level rarely expressed in most pool and fountain designs.
