Introduction: Aaron has been working in film and video production for nearly 10 years. After graduating from Webster University with degrees in History and Video Production, the latter with departmental honors, he has sought out documentary style projects.
His expertise in the area has allowed him to work with Emmy Award winning producers, several area nonprofits and larger production companies.

Outside of filmmaking, Aaron teaches across the St. Louis area, most notably at COCA where he works to pass on his knowledge to future generations.

I met Aaron Holdmeyer in 2016 as a result of viewing a production he created for an education foundation through which I was involved. I was so taken with his skill in creating this video that I spoke with him regarding a separate project I wanted to organize. The resulting video was phenomenal! The reasons for the success of this project were two-fold: 1) Aaron is a master of video production and sound editing, and 2) he was completely vested in the desires of the client (me!). He worked patiently to produce the outcome I wanted and at no time exhibited anything other the most professional of interaction. He was a pleasure to work with over the many months of production and I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone fortunate to engage him for a project.

What I liked most about working with Aaron was his keen ability to animate those he was interviewing. He asks great questions, putting them at ease and allowing for natural conversation to flow. He is present, pleasant, easy-going, flexible, reliable, and capable. I also liked how he orchestrated the movements within the video to match the music, and carefully selected different backdrops for contrast and interest. We gave him a challenging task in that it was a documentary of a pilot program that was still in the development stages itself. Perhaps my greatest regret stemmed from not being able to provide him with better opportunities from which to shoot, a short-coming on our end.

Colleagues from Opera Theatre Saint Louis referred me to Aaron last year for a project. He recorded a recital I presented at the Sheldon Concert Hall. Aaron was great to work with, and delivered a wonderful product in a short span of time. I look forward to future collaborations,

Aaron filmed a short documentary about the music program in our school district, and he was really great to work with during the entire process. He was completely professional, yet open to suggestions and willing to try almost anything we dreamt up for the video. The finished product was wonderful! (And his rates are reasonable, too... In addition, he was very upfront about what extra charges might be incurred when we were throwing out ideas.) I would recommend Aaron without reservations.

Aaron has videotaped two workshops for our church, one in 2015 and a second in 2016. His editing skills are terrific, and he patiently worked with me in 2015 to add an introduction and closing statement to the video. Last year he worked with church staff to upload both videos to make them accessible to parishioners directly from the internet. He is absolutely professional, excellent at his craft, dependable, and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely call on him again!
