FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All students: my current availability for lessons are 3pm-6pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays MST. $20/30 mins $40/60 mins ($30/45 mins not currently offered, but could possibly make work depending on demand and current schedule with other students) ****** In Studio Utah Students: Your monthly cost due at the 1st of the month includes weekly lessons and one master class a month. There is also a $25 fee for the year for recital and material costs. *If you are in Utah, but don't want to commute to my studio in Murray, you also have the option of taking the lessons online and I can work out a package where you only have to my Murray studio for the monthly master classes and recitals at the end of the semesters. ****** Global Remote Online Student: Different from the Utah Students, due to the nature of your being remote, you will NOT pay a $25 fee for a recital or materials. You can pay by the lesson or for the month. Advantage of paying monthly - it secures your session time. Monthly students will get priority in the schedule.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will schedule a FREE 15 minute consultation to determine if this will be a good fit for the prospective student. I will receive my policy and a registration form. If we move forward, we will pick the time slots for the sessions. Then we get singing!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelor in Music degree with emphasis in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah. I have taught children's classes like Gymboree and Kindermusik. I have taken pedagogy classes and other workshops. I conducted a choir for over three years. I have also coached singing one on one through different organizations and privately. I have an extensive performing background spanning 3 decades. I am still very active in performing professionally today. I am a member of the Utah Opera Chorus and Utah Symphony chorus and perform with other various theaters and groups throughout the community. I spent a summer in Italy for an opera program. I have performed many roles in opera and musical theater and have performed in many other settings including recordings, concerts, recitals, masterclasses, church gigs, national anthem for sporting events, talent shows, etc. Besides teaching and performing, I have also been involved on the producing end of shows. I have won various awards and competitions as a solo act and part of small and large groups. In addition to opera, classical, and musical theater, I have performed jazz, gospel, blue grass, pop, R&B, rock and other genres. In addition to singing I also have a background with other instruments including piano, flute, piccolo, and some oboe, guitar and french horn. I also won competitions and awards with those other instruments and performed in symphonies, pit orchestra, jazz/stage band, marching band, pep band...you name it, I probably did it.
