FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally price by the hour, although I'm flexible -- depending on the nature of the job, I can charge either a one-time fee or a per-job rate. I'm also willing to discount my rate if the client is expecting to need multiple videos edited over a period of time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will communicate, typically through email or Thumbtack, to see what exactly the customer is looking for and how I can help. If needed, I'll try to help them figure out the logistics of getting their media to me, and then edit the video, let them review it and ask for changes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the last seven-plus years, I've worked with Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and Avid Media Composer. I've dabbled in DaVinci Resolve for color correction, but for minor issues I typically fix the video in the editing application I'm using. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University.
