FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge an hourly rate (currently $90 per hour) and divide by half-hour increments. I don't charge for travel unless it's far from San Antonio.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to talk on the phone to discuss the problem and/or customer needs in order to find out about how long the job should take and to agree on an appointment time. In some cases, instead of arranging an appointment, I'll just offer an idea or two that the person can do without even hiring me. I work on-site at the customer's home or business, sitting next to the owner so we can learn from each other. I need to know what to work on, and whether I've solved it; and you are likely to learn something about how your computer works and how it will soon work better. I like it when people watch over my shoulder, and I like questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A+ Certified. Not that that proves anything.
