Introduction: My name is Letslie Aguirre Molina, I graduated magna cum lade from UTSA with a music composition degree and I'm currently working on my master's in ethnomusicology at UTRGV.
My first language is Spanish. I was born in Guanajuato and lived there until I was 16 years old. I was always a good student, with a strength in grammar and composition in Spanish. I attended private schools for over 10 years, such as Colegio "La Paz", and Instituto Novaera, who’s objectives were to create disciplined leaders skilled in both Spanish and English speaking.
In January 2016, I had the opportunity to study in Urbino, Italy for one semester as part of a Study Abroad program at UTSA. This journey led me to take a semester of Italian classes before my trip and another intermediate Italian course during my stay in Italy. Learning a third language and connecting with my teachers born in Italy increased my interest in learning foreign languages and sparked my interest in teaching about my first language, Spanish. For a while, I helped some friends and my ex-partner learn Spanish by giving them grammar and vocabulary homework, motivating them to speak with me frequently, and giving them tips to learn to speak Spanish faster.
Spanish Lessons:
Today, I am determined to professionalize my craft and learn the best way to teach grammar, reading comprehension, conversational skills, and pronunciation. Also, if the user is interested, teach them about Mexican culture and the places they could visit to place their new language into practice.
Due to the pandemic, I have decided to take advantage of online streaming services and begin my career as a Spanish Lessons teacher.
All my students receive personalized material for every lesson. I teach my students utilizing PowerPoint slides along with an organized Google document to keep track of all the topics studied and to complete the activities. For every lesson I create new material to make the information to be more relatable to the student and to reinforce certain areas of study.
