Speaker of the House Interiors

Introduction: I love design and have a few years experience designing homes, apartments and live/work spaces but I am new to Thumbtack. I especially love the challenge of making small spaces appear roomier and more efficiently utilized. I truly believe, however, that clutter is the enemy to the growth of a harmonious home. Before I can make a plan of action for the style my client wants to go with the most important step is eliminating unnecessary objects. Flow is the stepping stone to a well-designed, nurturing space. Without flow, no matter how pretty one's furniture and furnishings are, the space will not feel harmonious. This is why I do both home organizing and interior design. The organization is the prelude to a good design plan. I tend to follow the KonMari method of organization. I like to learn about my client's lifestyle and habits before I can outline a plan of action for getting them organized. Once the space feels "centered' then we can proceed from there. I love wardrobe consulting. I love helping people find their best looks combining pieces they already own and weeding out all the unnecessary, redundant pieces. Getting dressed is a breeze when your closet has been pared down to your most flattering and basic elements. Once you've weeded out your closets and drawers you know what all of your options are when getting dressed to go out. Also as an artist, I have many artist friends. I love to feature some of their work if the client needs art work. Mostly, I enjoy seeing the change in the lifestyle afforded by a change in the energy flow I bring to a space.
