Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: **My lesson plan focuses on each student's personal goals and aspirations, while developing well-rounded musicians. Whether you are learning to play the piano for the first time or trying to advance your skills and musicianship, I supply an innovative, adaptive, and personally tailored approach to helping you progress forward. My focus is primarily on performance, but my lesson plan also includes note reading, music theory, techniques, dynamics, various rhythms, composition, and good habits with finger positions (which will save you a big headache down the road). I also want playing the piano to be a positive and inspiring experience for everyone, so I try to keep the pieces and songs interesting/relevant, the environment fun, and include new aspects and styles into every lesson! I teach all styles and all ages. We also regularly have recitals and recording opportunities for all students interested, and occasional pub performances for adult students who wish to participate (or speculate).

Rebecca is a great teacher. I’m a novice piano player and she had me using both hands and playing chords in our first meeting. I’m excited for more.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I usually schedule a lesson/consultation and jump right into learning the basics. If a student has previous experience, we will spend time gauging their level and set up a lesson plan from there.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have mentored under the instruction of concert pianist Roger Woodward, conservatory graduates Priscilla Del Rosario, Lynn Taffin, Sophia Santulli, and many more. I studied piano performance through the San Francisco State University music program. I have been performing and composing for twenty years!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with students of all ages! Although, I do not recommend starting lessons before the age of 5, unless the student has a serious interest.
