Pedro and his guys were great. They waited for me once for almost two hours because I had a breakdown with my U-Haul truck, and didn't charge me for the full time which was really nice of him, and then when moving into my apartment they did a great job. Every time I tried to help out, someone else came by and was on the spot to do it for me. It made moving in really stress free and really quick and no damage to my furniture. They also didn't do any of these charges you get with other companies for stairs or elevators or the hundred other ways other companies will try to inflate their bills. When I had problems with my bank getting the money to pay them, Pedro was really understanding and patient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone in the area.

After sharing photos of items to be moved from Vallejo to San Francisco, sitting down with owner to look at the photos I sent, and being given a quote based on ten items to be moved, including a piano, scheduled a move for Wednesday morning at 11 am. Upon arriving, the two movers that were sent decided it was too much work and left the job. Nancy, the office assistant argued with me over the phone that I didnt send photos and piano wasnt included. Owner was not even considerate enough to return my call to discuss. As far as they knew, they left me high and dry. I will never use their service for anything, nor will I refer anyone to them. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable for best business practices.
Pedro's Moving and Storage's reply
When you say you do not have a lot of furniture and we only send 2 movers this is what happens. People just are not honest with there inventory, like its less expensive telling us a lie. We charge by the hour.

I was excited to use Pedro's to move from Oakland to San Diego but it went down hill from there....at first, super professional, a gentleman (can't recall his name) came to my house to evaluate what needed to be moved, where, how long, etc. They have storage options, which I initially wanted to take advantage of, so I received a $3250 quote to load all my items (I was responsible for packing the little items in boxes), take it to their storage in SF for two months, then they would unload from their storage and move/unload my stuff in San Diego (after I bought a house). After receiving the verbal quote I asked for an email so I had it in writing. The email read, "after your onsite estimate the price for your move will be $3250". I was a little shocked with the lack of detail since I had received multiple quotes from moving companies each providing me an itemized pricing list. After contemplating the cost and logistics, I decided that I was going to rent a separate storage unit in San Diego so my belongings weren't in SF for two months while I was in SD and called them back for an adjusted quote. I played phone tag with Pedro and his receptionists for several days and followed up with four separate emails over the course of a month in an attempt to receive a quote for just loading and moving my stuff to San Diego....not even a reply or courtesy call....nothing.I called today and asked for Pedro. The receptionist said he was in a meeting and that he would call me back later today. As the day winded down I called again to see if I was going to be able to speak to Pedro since my move date is getting closer and I need to finalize a moving company and budget....she said that he was "busy" but she could help me. When I explained to the receptionist that I needed an adjusted quote for load/move only (without storage) she said the initial $3250 quote I received was for load and move only. I was baffled that after all this time of emailing and calling that this woman was playing me for a fool, especially since I have an email asking for an adjusted quote after the initial quote was emailed to me. This company clearly has no structure, unprofessional and did not want my business....You get what you pay for and this company is clearly CHEAP!
Pedro's Moving and Storage's reply
We are not cheap that i can tell you. If we did not follow up was that we do not do loading services.

We just did a last second huge office move with Pedro's. And, other than a little confusion up front with scheduling and another admin issue (see my update below), the actual move was very smooth and the guys we worked with were all careful, energetic, and extremely pleasant. Most of the crew was bilingual, so there were never any communication issues. They were thorough and willing to work with our plans and needs. I'd definitely hire them again.Update: Pedro's left behind a big pile of moving equipment (bins) that took up most of one of our rooms. Despite multiple calls, emails, and mailed letters, they never came back for the equipment and I had to look into California abandonment law to make sure we dotted our i's before tossing the stuff. It was a huge waste of my time and energy and I had to ding them for that. It doesn't take away from the quality of the move itself, but it speaks to a general problem with their administration not being organized or responsive.
