- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate includes me visiting your home or office to discuss your current situation, take photos and measurements and beginning the decluttering process. It also includes my office work when I write a plan for decluttering and organizing and research products and solutions. Before we start, I will send you information to help you prepare to make the most of our time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before we start, I talk to the client on the phone to get an overview of the current state vs the desired state. We schedule a first visit and I send the client information to help them prepare. During our first visit, we do a walk through while I listen, take notes and take photos. I estimate what it will take to get to the desired result and create a plan which can be adjusted according to the client's needs. Then, we can start the process of decluttering and organizing, scheduling more visits as necessary.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It began when I discovered the Zero Waste movement. I changed our shopping habits and got rid of clutter in my own home. After I had already reduced much of our waste and consumption, I came across the tidying, or KonMari, movement. I tackled our house once again and found that by using the KonMari method I was able to reduce our clutter even further than before - and to the point that our space required less maintenance. Then friends began me to help them do the same. I began working with them on decluttering and organizing their homes. I realized how much I enjoyed helping people in this way and how happy it made them to create a space that gave them joy.
