Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: ElizaPets Plus of Almaden Valley -- Elizabeth Kontur, CPPS -- offers pet sitting services with your treasured pets staying in their own comfortable, familiar surroundings, getting their usual food, water, exercise, and, most of all, lots of love. At the same time, I'll make your house look lived in, taking care of the mail, newspapers, garbage, blinds, lights -- whatever you need to discourage unwanted visitors. As a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS), I offer the knowledge, training, and maturity that you need to care for your pets. And for even more peace of mind, ElizaPets Plus is licensed, bonded, and insured, with the experience and responsibility that a professional provides, so you know you can trust me with your animals, home, and belongings. The absolute best part of my work is getting to be with animals: playing, petting, walking, whatever with them. And to tell the truth, the worst part is when a sit is over and I have to say goodbye (until next time) to animals I've come to know and love.

Elizabeth took great care of our cat postoperatively. She texted updates and pics throughout our time away. We felt very reassured by her presence. She is definitely on our speed dial list for next time.

Details: Cat • 1 pet • Changing litter or bedding • Providing companionship • Dispensing medication • Giving food and water • Take out trash • Water plants • Standard visit (60 minutes) • The pet sitter travels to me

I recently had to go out of town and my regular pet sitter decided to double her rates two days before. So I went searching for a new pet sitter and I found ElizaPets on Nextdoor and I am so very glad I did. My sweet cat became very sick the very first day I left. Elizabeth went above and beyond taking Beimer to her regular vet and then on to Sage (where if you've been there you know you wait for hours to be seen) where we found that Beimer has kidney cancer. Elizabeth help guide me though the whole process long distance with the vets, their diagnosis and treatment options. She then spent time with Beimer, sitting with her in the sun (Beimer loves sitting in the sun), and never once complained nor asked for addition payment. The first pet sitter only spent 10 minutes of her time when she came to care for Beimer. I'm grateful I found and hired Elizabeth. I highly recommend ElizaPets! Thank you Elizabeth!

It's been 8 months since I've adopted my sweet cat. As a former stray my Maddy isn't always a sweetheart but Elizapets showed great love and care for Maddy. It's a great relief with my dynamic job schedule that I could consistently rely on Elizapets to maintain a safe and happy environment. I do recommend her for you!

Pet Sitting

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer two main types of pet sitting: overnight stays and daily visits (both are done at your house since I don't board animals at my house). The prices for either type depends on the species and number of animals. Please refer to my website at ElizaPetsPlus.com or contact me for more details. Both types of pet sitting include my house sitting services: making your house look occupied while you're gone.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Usually when a new customer contacts me, I tell them by email about the kinds of services I offer. If the customer is interested in learning more, they generally call me and we discuss their needs and how I can accommodate those needs. After this I send the customer a couple different introductory forms to complete before meeting in person. With a couple more forms to complete, I get good, detailed information -- the more info I have, the easier it is for me to accommodate their needs. The final step is to sign the Client Services Agreement. This all sounds like a lot of forms and discussion, but once we have all that out of the way, if the customer wishes to use my services again, they can just call or email me to schedule more sittings.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have had dogs for most of my life, especially beagles for the last 25 years or so. I've also pet sat for a few friends in recent years. As a result of that, I realized how much I love working with animals. I started volunteering at the San Jose Animal Shelter and later got a job there as an Animal Care Attendant. Next up was a job as a vet assistant at a pet hospital, but I developed an illness that prevented me from handling the extensive physical demands of the job. Since I still wanted to work with animals, in 2017 I decided to become a professional pet sitter and start my own business, ElizaPets Plus of Almaden Valley, so that I could care for pets for their owners.
