FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client I request that details regarding their pets health history and information regarding the pets special needs if any. In addition I would appreciate knowing who provides their vetinary care, what their dietary requirements are, time of day they are fed, supplements they may take and any general quirks i may need to know i.e. spooked by loud noises, excessively shy, aggressive with dogs, aggressive with people, or simply dislikes the mailman.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although I have no specific professional training in pet sitting or dog walking I must admit that I have lots of experience. I am currently studying a select group of manuals I was able to obtain with hopes of becoming an accredited behaviorist. My youngest son currently has a canine rehabilitation business in San Clemente. This business originated in my home where I quickly learned to feed, water, exercise and love other people's pets/fur baby's. I thought my heart was gonna burst. Those that we cared for regularly settled in like members of the family. The others took a little longer but quickly found their own space on the furniture in no time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started doing this work right after my husbands open-heart surgery. His workload has been lessened and I need to make-up for lost income.
