Introduction: My name is Shannyn Weiler and I have been helping my clients create a home they love for the past 8 years. My current focus is in Interior Design Consultations. At the beginning of my design career I managed full-scale remodels including work on three of my personal properties. I understand the strain and decision fatigue that most homeowners experience when trying to update their home. A few years ago I noticed an increase need for design consultation services. I discovered that many clients were wanting my opinion/initial help but were concerned about spending a significant portion of their budget on full design services. I understood their perspective and transitioned my business to interior consulting. I work with my clients to create a vision, an over-arching direction, and help guide them to the look or feel they desire. Most homeowners find they only need my initial consultation while others ask me to work with them for additional hours if they are looking to redo a significant space like a kitchen, or the layout of the main floor. I am more than happy to work clients past an initial consultation, and I charge an hourly fee for that type of work. I realized that my design insight was particularly valuable to clients who wanted guidance and direction in their remodel, but wanted more control of the design process. My consultations focus on teaching basic design principles and applying them to your home. I take into consideration cost/budget and elements of design already in the space. I communicate well with my clients and walk them through why I would make the decision I’m advising them to make. I treat every house as if it were my own. Remodeling any space can be stressful and overwhelming. I know how to make the process smoother. I work hard to create a timeless vision to help my clients avoid costly mistakes.
