Introduction: Working in the professional arena and being self-employed for 15 years, I realize the importance of being dedicated to giving high-quality customer service.
A little about myself:
l went back to school at Ashmead College in Lynnwood, WA for massage therapy. That course of study consisted of one year of Kinesiology, and Anatomy/Physiology plus working in the clinic on patients. \During that program, I was selected to participate as an intern at the University of Washington where I worked on world-class athletes. I was also selected for another internship at Edmonds Hospital which was very progressive due to the fact that they included massage therapy in all their medical departments; such as oncology, geriatrics, post surgical, and post obstetrics.
Upon graduation, I was asked by Ashmead College to teach Kinesiology and Clinical (which dealt with medications and supervising students as they performed massages on the public). At that time, I passed the National Board of Massage Therapy in 2002. Besides teaching, I began practicing and working hand-in-hand with personal trainers.
In Seattle, massage therapists are considered healthcare providers. Not only were the Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Medical Doctors, Naturopathic, and Physical Therapists my clients, they were also a referral source.
I also have a specialty in Sports Massage.
My areas of expertise are:
* Sports Massage
* PNF reciprocal inhibition
* PPR (passive positioning release)
* Myofascial Release
* Trigger point release
* Deep Tissue
* Corporate Chair Massage
* Swedish
* Parties/couples
