FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to approach helping my clients a little differently than some of my colleagues. I call myself an Image Consultant because for me its more than just a good looking outfit. You can buy a cool outfit off the mannequin but that doesn't help you get the right size, proportion, fit and make sure you're in love with what you get. For me, confidence and loving your look is far more important. I find taking the time to learn how people want to present themselves to the outside world makes all the difference. This is where I help you achieve your desired image. Most of the time its from clothes in your own closet! We put together a lookbook. These are pictures of all your outfits, so all you have to do is flip it open in the morning and get dressed, stress free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been doing this professionally for over 10 years and before that, just for fun before I realized it was a talent I could share. -Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Fashion specializing in Luxury Menswear -Extensive Editorial Styling. In case you're unfamiliar, Editorial Styling are the pictures you see in catalogues, magazines, and websites that show you the story/lifestyle of the product. Think of any page in Pottery Barn. -Worked more years of retail than I'd care to admit... but everything from running an Escada store, fine menswear, being a Coach salesman, selling fragrance, to just providing the best customer service possible while building a dedicated clientele following.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone! People often say ohh I'd love something like that but you don't want to work someone who dresses like me or I'm not important/sophisticated enough for a service like that..WRONG! I've worked with everyone from recent college grads who are entering the workforce, teachers/college professors, athletes, globetrotters, people who work in very casual office settings, very corporate office settings. The most frequently asked about is male clientele. "Do you really help guys with their clothes?" OF COURSE. True, most times they are very shy. Remember we've been told its not "cool" to care about your appearance if you're a guy. I've helped guys buy their first real suit, teach them how to properly care for their clothes, get ready for business trips, you name it, all while remaining comfortable in their own skin.
