- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Often our new clients ask what our rates are for different services such as deep cleaning, move-in or out cleaning, holiday cleaning and recurring maintenance cleaning. All our services are offered at the same hourly rate regardless of what you need done, although we do offer a discounted hourly rate for weekly or bi-weekly recurring cleanings. The main difference in types of services is that some services (like deep cleaning or move-in or out cleanings) simply take longer (more hours of work required) to get the job done. When you request a quote from Penny's Cleaning, we will discuss your needs and recommend a typical range of hours to complete your job. We always clean in teams so that we can get your work done faster, but our price per hour does not change regardless of the number of cleaning team members on the job. In other words, our price is per person, per hour. If you have scheduled us to clean for you for 6 hours and we send a team of 3 cleaning people, the team will be in your home for 2 hours time. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a new client, you will start out by receiving a quote for your cleaning project. After deciding that you would like to schedule your job, we will contact you for the additional details we will need in order to get the job done-such as your address, an entry method for the cleaning team, your full contact information, etc. We will then schedule your job on a day that works for you. Upon scheduling, we require a credit or debit card to be placed on file with us. At the time of your cleaning, you are welcome to pay with a check, however, most of our clients prefer we process the card on file for their cleaning fee. If for any reason, you are not satisfied with some aspect of your cleaning, we will gladly return to correct the problem, or issue you an appropriate refund amount. If you are scheduled for recurring weekly or bi-weekly service, then your cleaning team will return on the same day of the week for each cleaning. Our cleaning teams clean between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Although we ask our recurring cleaning clients for an open availability during this time-frame, we are happy to accommodate if special circumstances should arise.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Although we typically only clean houses, we recently had the opportunity to do the post-construction cleanup in a local Burger King after their remodeling project. We scrubbed and polished the entire lobby, service area, restrooms, and kitchen over the course of three days! The work was quite different than what we are used to but having a chance to do something a little different was kind of fun. Everyone from team members to the company owner pitched in for a grand total of 85 hours of cleaning time! Whew! Can’t wait for a Whopper and fries!
