FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee is generally based on the size and age of the house, but you should provide as much details as possible in order to get an accurate bid. .......................................................... My prices are competitive, though you may find they are a little higher than some of the other guys you may find on Thumbtack. .......................................................... The low ball inspectors may be just starting out and have only done a hand full of inspections. I have done hundreds and hundreds. Be sure to ask them how many have they done. .......................................................... Do you really want to go with the lowest bidder on what could be the most expensive investment of your life? Remember, you get what you pay for. .......................................................... I'm here for you, to spend time explaining everything to you. My business model is to do only one inspection a day, dedicated to you, so that I'm not going to cut the inspection short or rush through it because I have another appointment to go to.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I will contact you to get any additional information that was not provided on the Thumbtack form and to discuss the date and any additional cost of the inspection. ........................................................... 2. Once tentatively agreed you will receive a written quote, via email, with a link the "Authorization to Perform an Inspection" page where you can review and digitally sign the pre-inspection agreement. ........................................................... 3. When the agreement is digitally signed the inspection is booked, you will then receive a PayPal Invoice for payment which will also serve as your booking confirmation. .......................................................... Note: You may pay online or at the inspection, whichever is more convenient for you. I accept cash, checks, credit cards and PaPal. After the inspection I will send you the report via email (usually within 24 hours) and answer any additional questions you may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Professional Real Estate Inspector licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission. .......................................................... I am a 2012 graduate of the Champions School of Real Estate in Houston, TX. ........................................................... I also attended ITT Technical Institute in Houston and studied Electronics Engineering Technology. ........................................................... I fulfill at least 16 hours of Continuing Education and inspection related training per year and stay up to date on current industry standards. ......................................................... You can look up my license and education information at the TREC website by putting in my number 20246 in the search box.
