FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always look for someone that is interested in your project or repair for the right reasons. They should come across as concerned for your wallet and time more than a opportunity for a paycheck. Keep an eye out for techs that say or imply that your issue is easy, promise same day (before diagnostics), act arrogant, or try and finish your words to seem more intuitive. Most of the time they are trying get your money in their pocket or get an agreement before you have a chance to fully analyze and address what's best. Always ask if they have references you can check into (especially) before inviting them into your home and remember if you feel like you're "bothering them" or "unwanted" that's completely unacceptable. You deserve to feel important and like you are their ONLY customer. Being made to feel like you're intruding when a repair is happening in your own home or that your questions are wasting their time is a huge red flag that their concerns are in the wrong area. In the long run trust your instincts and ask as many questions as you need until you feel comfortable. An honest tech that is into his or hers profession will jump at the opportunity to show their knowledge and be excited to educate while providing a solution to your issue.
