$50 per hour at my home studio, $150 for 75 minute “house call”
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend the first drum lesson assessing the student's playing and listening ability. We talk about short term goals on the instrument and we design a practice routine to meet those goals quickly. The student will do a lot of playing and guided practicing every single lesson and is usually happily surprised at how much progress they can make.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a drummer for 40 years and a professional for 34. I've played drums on several gold/platinum records and close to a hundred indie releases. I have toured nationally and internationally, from super deluxe to sleeping in a van. I've played many thousands of gigs and I've taught drums for the last 25 years. Drums and music are my life and it's the only job I've ever had. I love teaching and I am very lucky to be able to share!
