FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know you, what you like, how you talk about what you like. Some people want a cool video that looks like a NASCAR promo and some want one that looks like a nature documentary. Both are cool, but finding out what a new customer is using as a reference helps me deliver. After that the process is generally the same as old customers, I find out what you want, edit it, send it to you, get your feed back, and work with you to get the video you want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm AVID certified (long time Hollywood standard video editing software) and have a bachelors in film with minors in Business and Theatre. This combo helps me bridge the gap between art and business. It needs to look good, and it needs to sell. Finding that sweet spot is one of the harder parts of the video marketing world.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved media, filmmaking, music videos, etc. After 5 great years in the military my wife and I decided that we didn't want to stay in now that we had kids. That was going to be the best time to make a career change so we made the jump, I went back to school for film and have been cranking on videos, both narrative and marketing, ever since.
