- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are mostly all-inclusive, and provide not only the photo session, but hours of editing work and print release. I offer new clients 10% off specific future sessions. There is also a 30% referral discount that all my customers enjoy.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to the shoot we discuss what they are looking for, choose the location, and I give advice on outfit. Upon request we have a free Skype or in-person meeting, so they can get to know me and feel more comfortable, which is especially important for weddings. Starting the session, we chat and I position them. All the process is usually very laid-back and fun. I myself am quite a shy and private person when it takes to having my own photos taken, so I know how important it is to ease a person into the process, to make them feel truly good about themselves. My most favorite compliment – aside from my work immediately used on my customer's social media page ;) or used as a print to decorate the house – is when people tell me how much fun they had during the session and how good they felt. My approach is very personalized – I get to know you to show the very best side of you in your photos, the most beautiful and genuine things about you. I want you to feel like a celebrity, like a VIP for the day or the few hours we work together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied fashion photography in Photoplay school in Europe, and continuously study at self-paced workshops and professional events.
