Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Open to discussion I want to make sure your needs are met and it meets your budget
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm eager to discuss menu options with new customers via text, phone or via email. Once I get an idea of what the customer would like I will put together template menus and we'll go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught chef I have over 25 years of experience I learned from my mother who is an exquisite chef in Louisiana.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have over 25 years of cooking experience. I learned at a young age how to cook and have mastered my trade throughout the years. I am from Louisiana originally but I have traveled the world and have learned how to cook an array of food types. I've also been featured in the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance Food and Wine Festival as one of their chefs. I've also been featured in the Salsa and Tequila challenge and the Monark great chef series here in Tucson!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with University of Arizona on several catering events I've also worked with local businesses and organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. I have also worked with the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance as one of their featured chefs
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am extremely fond of working with the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance at the Food and Wine Festival a simply spectacular affair! I also enjoy working with the University of Arizona and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated it's hard to choose one particular event I enjoy them all! It does not take me long to prepare for an event I seem to have a systematic way as how to approach each event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would like customers to have a clear concise idea of what they would like how they want their event to be spectacular and what they want their guests to remember most about their dining experience!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Think about what you're expecting to happen at your event. Do you want your caterer to stay there during the whole time serving your guests? Do you want all the silverware or plastic ware cups napkins plates etc to be provided? Do you want buffet-style or a a passed dinner. Think of how you want your event to be successful and convey that to the person you're trying to hire.
