FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is fairly competitive with that of a more ‘luxury’ branded photographer. While I try to keep interactions casual and comfortable, a higher price allows me to provide you with an unprecedented finished product. A truly mom and pop feel with customer service, printed goods and photographs on par if not a tier above the best. I source my materials and goods from places I believe offer the best product on the market. From frames handmade in Portland, OR, to privately owned, USA produced albums (out of Texas if you’re wondering and with glorious patented lay-flat waterproof pages). I also assemble and put the finishing touches personally on every piece that goes out my door and into your home. Because of that, my prices reflect the quality you can expect from a museum grade wall portrait or an heirloom wedding album that will last 100+ years. Prints are the reason I started this business. The power of holding a physical snapshot of time with loved ones is unprecedented—especially in this digital age. Something that can be enjoyed daily for the rest of your family history, and even longer after we depart. If that is the reason you are seeking a photographer, then I would truly be honored to work with you :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Inquiry —> Evaluation (your needs and if I’m the right choice) —> Scheduling/Shooting your Portraits —> Proofing Gallery—I put up your photos in a private online gallery where you have a chance to pick out favorites. —> Final Order—I present your final edited favorites and you pick out which ones you would like and in which format. (ie: Digital files and an Album of them all and 2 Framed wall portraits) —> Installation—I offer personal installation and delivery of all of my Framed Prints/Albums.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have what amounts to about two years of college level classes in art/design and photography. I have also studied and worked under prestigious professionals in the industry who have helped me round out my skills and knowledge. Specifically, the studio I worked at did all of its framing and installation in house, meaning I was on the front lines of the printing and finishing process for years before beginning with my own operation.
