I found Metzli online – every Instagram hair photo I liked in San Diego/So Cal was by her. She’s a master of her craft, a calm, kind, and focused artist who did a tremendous job on my and my bridesmaids’ and mother of the bride/groom’s hair. She did a lovely job on my trial and did exactly what I wanted. On my wedding day, she worked incredibly hard and did a different style for everyone, on a variety of hair lengths and textures. Everyone felt gorgeous and my bridal hair (half-up/half-down curls with a veil for the ceremony and decorative hair pins) held up the ENTIRE NIGHT, through hours of sweating and dancing. She’s also very affordable and communicative and very easy to work with. I absolutely recommend Metzli.

Meztli has done my makeup for a few different occasions now, (weddings, special occasions, even Halloween) and each time she’s given me exactly what I want. Plus she has a great attitude and you can tell it’s her passion. Her makeup comes out looking flawless and natural. I highly recommend her for any occasion. I’ve even had her do my hair (color and cut) which is rare bc I’m very selective about who does my hair and I’ve loved it every time she’s done it! You can’t go wrong with her!

Working with Meztli was an absolutely pleasure. In my experience there are 2 types of hairstylist. Those who do it because it's a job and others who do it because it's a passion. I could tell from working with Meztli it's a passion for her. I would recommend anyone to work with her. Attached are some photos of the job she did.

Amazing work on my hair and makeup. I’m EXTREMELY picky And very particular about how other people do my hair and make up. Often times I don’t like people to do it for me and I like to just do it myself but I trust Meztli to do it just the way I ask. Give her a shot you won’t be disappointed!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been obsessed with all things beauty since I was a little girl. It came as no surprise to those around me that this is what I wanted to do.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I LOVE the reaction of someone who is truly happy with my work. I love the excitement of getting ready for a special day. Usually I try to book an hour for each service, hair or makeup. Unless otherwise discussed. I usually try to have a schedule we both sign off on. Being on time is really important to me and just helps the day run more smoothly.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In this day of technology we’re all trying our best to have an up to date portfolio. Instagram, Yelp, Thumbtack are all tools most of us use to promote our business. We all have different styles and finding the right one for you on such an important day is crucial.
