- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With any client, the first step we take together is establishing goals for a given session (eight 30-45 min. lessons). To do this, we establish a base line for what a client may already know about water safety or stroke development. Then, we build a plan together of what we would like to accomplish from that base line. Sometimes, a goal is simply to be safe in aquatic areas like at the water park with your kids or on a cruise ship. Other times, goals can be to develop competitive strokes such as front crawl in order to complete a triathlon, or to prep a child on the verge of being eligible for swim team tryouts. As a red Cross Water Safety Instructor, my primary goals is to educate all I instruct on water safety. This includes, protocols for behaving in aquatic environments, protocols for emergency situations, protocols for exercising and much more!
