Julia Pottinger: Music Lessons

Introduction: If you're looking for beginners' level voice and/or piano lessons, you've come to the right place! My name is Julia Pottinger, and I'm a current junior at Wichita State University, double majoring in Musical Theater and Vocal Performance. I've been teaching since I was 15, and I can't wait to get started building my new studio here in Wichita! Not only have I been studying music my whole life, but I have officially passed the Kansas Piano Proficiency test, and would be more than willing to teach students in both fields! Though I am a performance major, teaching lessons is one of my favorite things to do! Differing from a classroom setting, I have always enjoyed watching the growth of the student in the one-on-one setting. With individual lessons, there is the opportunity to isolate the issues with the instrument, to thoroughly instruct on technique and innate ability, and to ultimately fine tune a craft and a voice...the detail-oriented work is most definitely my favorite!
