Mary Kenney has been a godsend. I am a busy attorney in my mid-thirties and I have always been devoted to my education and career to the exclusion of my diet. After realizing that eating habits I had gotten away with in my younger years were catching up with me, I began working with a nutritionist and personal trainer. Shortly thereafter, I met Mary and asked her if she could help. She agreed to discuss my dietary needs with my nutritionist and proposed a meal plan that fit my budget. Mary has been cooking meals for me for 8 months now and I feel better physically than I have in years.

Mary Kenney was super professional in both her approach of what my needs were for a recent dining experience, and also, her general passion for her business. I'd recommend her services and cooking styles to anyone. I'll sum up the Legal Pantry in one word: Outstanding.

Mary is very talented and has a true gift as a personal chef. I've witnessed first hand how devoted she is to using only quality ingredients in her preparation of meals. She is very easy to work with and a joy to have in your home. We've been utilizing Mary's services for about 8 months now and each meal that is put in front of us is "WOW". The only thing better than the presentation is the amazing way it tastes! I would highly recommend her! Diane A. Cohoes, NY

Mary is a fabulous personal chef! Her food is delicious and presented beautifully. She cooked dinner for my mother and I a few weeks ago and the food was mouth watering/magazine quality. The main course (sea bass) was so amazingly good that I felt like I was eating at a 5-star restaurant. She was friendly, informative and very talented in the kitchen. Also, I'm pretty sure she left the kitchen even cleaner than it was when she arrived. I highly recommend Mary and look forward to enjoying her cooking again soon!

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every new cooking relationship begins with a consultation to learn about the client's food preferences, especially any dietary restrictions they may have. I like to learn about a client's lifestyle and the goals they have for using a personal chef service. I will work with your nutritionist or trainer to create a menu that meets your dietary needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked in restaurants for 19 years, from the age of 15 to 34, in a variety of positions in both the front and back of the house.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
The cost is made up of two components - the service fee, and the cost of groceries. I have a general service fee structure which is based on the number of meals prepared. However, all of my menus and services are tailored specifically to the client. The variety and the complexity of the client's needs will also influence the service cost.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients range from families with children, couples, and single persons.
